Sheet metal, made to measure, sold online.
Blechnachmass.shop is an Austrian online shop for roof drainage and sheet metal: zinc, aluminium, and copper gutters, downpipes, roof sheets, and special profiles. The name says it: Blech nach Maß, sheet metal made to measure.
I designed the whole product at Mesh WEB over two months: the shop, the checkout and customer account, and a custom admin dashboard the client's team built from scratch to run the store.

Products that come in any size.
A gutter is sold in several materials and sizes, and special profiles are cut to the customer's own edge, angle, fold, and length.
Roofers want exact dimensions and data sheets. Homeowners want to find the right part without a manual.
The admin was a custom build. There was no existing pattern for how a team sets the allowed range of a custom dimension.
The shop and the admin had to feel like one system, so the team sees products the same way customers do.
Customers choose the material and the gutter size as simple buttons, see the price and delivery time straight away, and find the technical detail one tab below.
Key features

The sizes tab shows the gutter profile as a technical drawing, with every measurement labelled and matched to a table, so a roofer can check it at a glance.
Key features

The cart opens over the page without leaving it, and products that are often bought together sit below every product.

Four steps, and the order always in view.
Checkout runs as billing address, delivery, shipping method, and payment, with the order summary fixed on the right. Shipping covers standard, premium, and collection from the branch; payment covers PayPal, card, SEPA, prepayment, invoice, and paying in the branch.

After the purchase, the account shows every order with its status, and a single order follows it from ordered to on the way to delivered, alongside addresses and a wishlist.

One place to run the store.
The team built their own admin instead of a stock plugin, so I designed it from the navigation up: dashboard, products, categories, tags, attributes, reviews, analytics, coupons, orders, users, and settings.

Every product carries categories, tags, images, pricing, tax, stock, shipping, linked products, and variations, and each variation has its own values.
Key features

A single order shows the items, totals, payment, and the customer's billing and shipping details on one screen. Coupons set their discount type, amount, code, and validity in one short form.

Designing limits with nothing to copy.
Customers can order special profiles in their own dimensions. For that to work, the team needs to tell the shop what is possible for each product: which measurements can change, and between which values. No existing admin or plugin had a pattern for this, so I designed it from scratch.
Each product gets four switches: custom edge, custom angle, custom fold bead, and custom length. Turning one on opens its limits, such as a length between 100 and 2000 mm, with breakpoints the team can edit or remove. The shop then only offers the customer what can actually be made.

A shop and its admin, designed as one system.
Customers can find a standard gutter in a few clicks or order a profile to their own measurements, and the team manages both from an admin that speaks the same language as the shop. The dimension limits turned a manual, quote-based process into something the shop can offer directly.
